The Rising Five: Edition # 22

Hello fellow EMURG’ers and welcome back to another edition of The Rising Five! For the month of February, EMURG is dedicating its top five list to the ladies of rock and metal. Lets get straight to it and see why these bands are stirring up the waters in the world of rock and metal

1. Imber-An all female metal project from Stockholm, Sweden, the women of Imber bring a sense of intensity and energy not seen by an all female fronted metal band since the days of Drain STH. Their current EP, “The Breaking Point”, is gaining the attention of musicians and the media alike.

Recommended if you like: Drain STH, Otep, Kittie

2. Unveiled-Next up is the progressive/alternative band from Dallas, Texas called, Unveiled. Since crossing paths with one another in 2006 as a part of the Campus Crusade for Christ, the band members of of Unveiled have been delivering their brand of music to the masses and are currently working on their first full length follow up to their latest release, “Burn The Diary”.

3. Lucid Fly-If Evanescence and A Perfect Circle were to fornicate, the result of its offspring would be the band Lucid Fly. Loyal fans describe their music as epic, dark, or post industrial with strong and vulnerable vocals. Since the release of their second EP, “The Escape Stage”, Lucid Fly are receiving stellar feedback and are turning heads in the world of music

4. Annandale-A band that is constantly peeling the layers away and stripping down their sound, the fiery Knoxville duo of Ashley and Chad Grennor is generating a lot of attention. Their newest album produced by veteran rocker Clint Lowery, “Moving Forward”, is anything but amateur. The combination of intertwining voices will awaken the listener’s soul while experiencing the presence that Annandale promotes.

5. Tanadra- Since the release of their first EP in 2010, the band has garnered international attention and positive reviews from music lovers around the world. Their first music video, “Danny“, catapulted the band into the spotlight with over 10,000 views and growing on Youtube. Since that time, the band has released countless singles and are on a mission to take the world of heavy rock by storm!

Another Rising Five and another great list of bands that are sure to spark your interest.
